Mr. Euline (NING) Thomas son of the late James Thomas and the late Mrs. Josephine West Thomas. He was raised in the pinewood community of Clarendon County, South Carolina. He was educated in the New Hope school.
At an early age he joined the New Hope A. M. E. Church where he served faithfully. In 1954 he married the love of his life, the late Mary Agnes Caldwell Thomas. Together they raised six wonderful after moving to New York. There he worked several jobs until he received employment at Avis Rent A Car Company. He was employed there for thirty-eight years. In 1995 he and his wife moved back to South Carolina. They transferred their memberships from Ephesus S. D. A. church to Maranatha S. D. A. church. He served at Maranatha until his health failed.
Euline was a prayer warrior. He loved praying for the sick in the nursing home as well as in other’s homes. He also enjoyed fishing even when he didn’t catch anything. He also loved having discussions about the old days. To talk with him was like having a history class.
He leaves to mourn his passing three daughters, France (George) Moore of Charlotte, North Carolina, Shirley Shepherd of Bronx, New York, and Edith (Sammie) Murray of the home; two sons, Melvin (Roberta) Thomas of East Harlem, New York and Michael (Regina) Thomas of Bronx, New York; five sisters, Josephine Talley of Bronx, New York, Henirette West of Roseboro, North Carolina, Margaretta Cantey and Catherine Hamid of Pinewood, South Carolina and Marilyn Montgomery of Columbia, South Carolina; one brother, Richard(Renee) Thomas of Queens, New York; fourteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, thirty six nieces, thirty-one nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
